The EAIVT International Markets Congress 2025, held from May 14 to May 16, 2025, was an outstanding success in the picturesque town of Prague.

More than 350 delegates, including representatives from independent dealerships, traders, and service providers in the automotive sector, convened for two days of networking, knowledge sharing, and business development.

BAVENO ITALY EAIVT CONGRESS 2024

LJUBLJANA FORUM FUTURE 2024

From 12-14 September 2024 we staged the first Forum Future since 2019. The event was held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and saw over 50 participants from almost 20 countries, networking, listening to presentations and engaging in quality discussions over one and a half days.

The Forum Future is an important item in EAIVT's toolbox as it comes in a discussion-friendly setting, an ideal platform for the association board to share and explain current and future projects to the members present.

NOORDWJIK EAIVT CONGRESS 2023

For our 2023 congress we had selected the iconic coastal resort Huis Ter Duin , situated half an hour from Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport, right on the coast overlooking a wide, sandy beachfront.

The Board and Management of EAIVT had put together an exciting agenda for the event and over 300 delegates came to the Dutch North-Sea coast to meet, network and do business.ion.

ATHENS EAIVT CONGRESS 2022

After 3 years of absence the EAIVT International Markets Congress was finally back in May 2022. The Athens congress was the long-awaited return of the annual higlight of the independent automotive trade – and it was a big success.

Over 300 people, representatives of independent dealerships, traders and service providers of the automotive industry, gathered for 2 days of networking, information exchange and business creation.

HYBRID EAIVT MARKET TALK 2021

On 21 October 2021 EAIVT Members gathered for EAIVT’s first ‘Hybrid Market Talk’, a meeting that was derived from the popular Forum Future scheme, but which takes place in an online/hybrid format.

With the ‘Market Talk’ EAIVT takes a critical look at the situation of the independent car trade in some of the European core markets.

75 car dealers and service providers from over 20 countries took part in the event, saw presentations on regional/national developments, and heard the differences in perspective from selected members in various markets.

The meeting showed that we are facing the most difficult market in decades and the independent sector is suffering the most from the current crisis as the global chip shortage acts as the ‘spanner in the works’ of the automotive production process. Sadly, there are signs that the problem is going to stay at least well into 2022.

The EAIVT Market Talk addresses issues of our sector and is an example of how dealers can benefit from the membership through shared information, first-hand insight and increased cooperation.

LONDON EAIVT CONGRESS 2019

The EAIVT International Markets Congress 2019 took place from 23 – 25 May in London. Again, there were over 300 delegates from 20+ countries and the organizers wish to thank all participants for contributing to the success of the event.

The event was was fully booked three weeks before the start of the conference and companies interested in attending next year’s EAIVT Congress are strongly recommended to register early to avoid disappointment.

OSLO FORUM FUTURE 2019

The E.A.I.V.T. Forum Future 2019 took place on 27 September in Oslo, Norway.

As in previous years, about 50-60 E.A.I.V.T. members and guests came to this discussion forum to learn about market developments, discuss problems and ideas and exchange opinions.

The first part of the meeting was a members-only meeting again, where we discussed association matters and looked at developments in individual markets. Accordingly, we heard input from various members established in different markets both inside and beyond Europe.

The open meeting in the afternoon was dedicated to the topic of e-mobility and we heard expert presentations from TUEV Nord, the German technical service, Transport&Environment, a prominent European NGO promoting green transportation in the EU, as well as Norsk elbilforening, who represent Norwegian e-car owners and promote e-mobility in the country of this conference.

Like in previous ForumFuture meetings the participants were eager to hear the presentations and afterwards engaged in lively discussions.

We thank the presenters for their input and all members and guests present at the meeting for their participation.

DUBROVNIK EAIVT CONGRESS 2018

The E.A.I.V.T. International Markets Congress 2018 took place in Dubrovnik, Croatia from 14 – 16 June 2018. Croatia’s southernmost city is known for its distinctive Old Town, which is encircled with massive stone walls and was completed in the late middle ages. Dubrovnik is a port on the Adriatic Sea and is also a popular tourist destination.

The meeting took place in the Hotel Sun Gardens Dubrovnik, situated north of the city, right on the coast. More than 300 participants from 25 nations took part.

MARSEILLE FORUM FUTURE 2018

This year’s E.A.I.V.T. Forum Future took place on 12 October in Marseille, France.

50 E.A.I.V.T. members and guests came together to learn, discuss and exchange opinions. The first part of the meeting was a members-only meeting to discuss association matters and the role of E.A.I.V.T. in the independent car sector. The afternoon meeting was open to guests and focused on the French car market. As always at the Autumn Forum we saw expert presentations and had lively discussions on important aspects of the local car market.

BERLIN EAIVT CONGRESS 2017

his year’s E.A.I.V.T. Forum Future took place on 22 September in Sopot (Gdansk), Poland.

Around 50 E.A.I.V.T. members and guests came together to learn, discuss and exchange opinions. In the morning there were lively discussions on the situation of the independent sector and the role of E.A.I.V.T. The afternoon focussed on the Polish market and we had the chance to receive first-hand information through 3 expert presentations on several aspects of the Polish car market.

The E.A.I.V.T. Board thanks all participants for their interest and our Polish members for the support in staging this event.

LISBON EAIVT CONGRESS 2016

In 2016 the annual meeting of the independent car trade took place in Lisbon. Lisbon is Portugal’s capital‎ and the country’s largest city with a culturally rich history. The climate is friendly with mild winters and warm summers.

The meeting took place from 19th to 21st May 2016.

Our conference hotel was in the town of Cascais, a seaside resort just outside the Portuguese capital.

TALLINN FORUM FUTURE 2016

Every year in autumn E.A.I.V.T. stages a meeting in a different country to bring together some of our members and local dealers of that country. This year, the E.A.I.V.T. ForumFuture took place from 22 to 24 September in Tallinn, Estonia

Topical focus of the conference was on the Estonian and Baltic Car Markets. There were over 40 participants, most of whom E.A.I.V.T. Members, but also some guests.

The purpose of this E.A.I.V.T. ForumFuture meeting was:

to gain more insight into the local market and understand its particularities. To achieve this, we shared knowledge between E.A.I.V.T. members and guests and brought people to the table who have insight into various aspects of the Estonian/Baltic car market.
to strengthen the ties with our members in Estonia and neighbouring countries and possibly encourage more local demand for E.A.I.V.T. membership. Dealers present at this meeting had the opportunity of finding new business partners as well as understanding the requirements of the local market.

ISTANBUL EAIVT CONGRESS 2014

2014 the annual meeting of the independent car trade took place in Istanbul. The largest city in Turkey has a lot more to offer than nice weather and a culturally rich history. The car sales in Turkey are increasing and the market is growing. A lot of car manufacturers produce their cars there.

The E.A.I.V.T. International Markets Congress (IMC) was fully booked and there were 250 car dealers from 26 nations. Some of the workshop topics at the conference were the Turkish Car Market, Safer B2B Trading, updates on the NAATA Export Initiative, and news from The BER Compliance Group.

STOCKHOLM FORUM FUTURE 2014

Every year in autumn E.A.I.V.T. stages a meeting in a different country to bring together some of our members and local dealers of that country. This year, from 26 to 27 September the E.A.I.V.T. road-show took place in Stockholm to introduce the Association to local dealers from Northern Europe.The purpose of the E.A.I.V.T. ForumFuture meeting was:

to gain more insight into the local market and understand its particularities. To achieve this we shared knowledge between E.A.I.V.T. members and guests and brought people to the table who have insight into various aspects of the Swedish and Scandinavian markets.
to strengthen the ties with our members in Scandinavia and neighbouring countries and possibly encourage more local demand for E.A.I.V.T. membership. Dealers present at these meetings typically look at finding new business partners as well as understanding the requirements of the local market.

There were 53 delegates at the conference from 35 companies, representing 13 countries.

BRUSSELS EAIVT CONGRESS 2013

The 2013 International Markets Congress took place in Brussels, Belgium – the heartland of EAIVT. 18 years after its foundation, the association’s flagship event returned to EAIVT’s birthplace.

MADRID FORUM FUTURE 2013

This year’s ForumFuture took place on 27/28 September in Madrid, Spain. We counted 55 participants from 10 countries at this event about half of whom were attendees from automotive companies in Spain.

The meeting was very well received by everybody present and it benefitted not just from the well-balanced mix of attendees, but more than anything from the participants’ committed approach to the event. Most if not all guests contributed with valuable insight, leading to lively and in-depth discussions on the key topics.

BUDAPEST EAIVT CONGRESS 2012

Perfect weather and a perfect location combined to host the annual meeting of the independent car trade. The 2012 congress took place from 14 -16 June in Budapest. There were about 220 car dealers from over 20 countries.

BREMERHAVEN FORUM FUTURE 2012

EAIVT organized this meeting for dealers specializing in (mainly) US-imports. The port of Bremerhaven, which sees most of the US-imports entering the EU, and the neighbouring city of Bremen were chosen as a “natural” location for this meeting.

The list of invitees featured – next to many US-car dealers – logistics and homologation experts, who explained the nature of their business to the participants during the workshop on day 1 of the meeting.

Day 2 of the meeting was an all-day excursion to the port of Bremerhaven, where participants were greeted with a presentation by the Bremerhaven Logistics Group.

After that the group went on to see the auto and container terminals. Inside this vast area of the port installations, there is also the PDI+Homologation centre of our member AutoGlobalTrade , who gave the group an overview of the work that they do in Bremerhaven.

The afternoon was spent with a visit to the EHS Homologation Centre, who are located inside the free port from where they serve customers in the EU and beyond. Here the group was shown the practical homologation work involved when overseas cars are made “road-worthy” according to EU regulations.

The day ended with a group dinner at the “Seute Deern” (a 1919-built 4-mast gaff schooner).

VALENCIA EAIVT CONGRESS 2011

E.A.I.V.T. International Dealer Congress in Valencia, Spain. 2011. From 16 to 18 June E.A.I.V.T. held its Annual International Dealer Congress in Valencia. There were over 200 dealers from over 20 countries. The new Integrated Contact Fair ( ICF ) was started in Copenhagen in 2010. It offers participants enhanced networking opportunities and facilitates plenty new contacts.

BORDEAUX FORUM FUTURE 2011

The Forum Future 2011 took place on 14 October in Bordeaux, France. The topic was the French car market. The topics of EAIVT and its development were also discussed. About 50 car dealers took part.

It was a very good meeting in a unique area.

COPENHAGEN EAIVT CONGRESS 2010

ST. PETERSBURG FORUM FUTURE 2010

The Forum Future 2010 took place on 15 October in St.Petersburg. EAIVT had invited Russian car dealers. There was an interesting exchange about their market and their business.

We were able to visit the Nissan factory in St. Petersburg and learn a lot about how the manufacturing and the market in Russia worked.
