EU Motor Vehicles Working Group

EAIVT is one of the NGO’s/associations which regularly get invited to hearings and consultative meetings of the EU Commission /DG Enterprise’s “Motor Vehicles Working Group (MVWG)” meetings.

These stakeholder meetings are used by the EU lawmakers to discuss their regulatory work program with representatives of the industry.

EAIVT attends and monitors these meetings with an interest to make sure that automotive legislation does not get approved without our knowledge, so that we are in a position to inform our members and partners and make them aware of any regulatory changes that might have an impact on their business.

In addition to the MVWG meetings there are also the “Motor Vehicles Emissions Group (MVEG)” meetings at DG Enterprise. Emission based legislation and regulations for car importing and registration impacts our business in various ways. EAIVT is also looking at these developments to be able to keep its members informed of any important changes.
